for a balanced TE, is it better to just focus equipment on strength, or multiple attributes?

I've been splitting it 50:50 between speed and strength.

1. Always just focus it on 1 because you need 48 TRUE points to make it cost double. Equiptment dosent count towards the softcap, so you can get to 48, and then add those other 12 eqiptment points or whatever and make it 60. Thats why my speed is 75, I have like 50 true points in speed, but then I have another 25 or w/e using equiptment.

I usually do 3 pieces on 1 and the 4th piece on another.

100% speed on all 3 of my TEs.

I have pretty much the same question I have a lvl 7 TE whom I want to be a receiving TE and have soft capped catching and was looking to go towards Speed and Agility next with my SP points .My question is currently all my Equipment is in catching and I was wondering if I should sell it and switch it to speed or just add all my future updates to the equipment in speed ?
