Yes, BSB did have a 3-0 advantage in turnovers caused, but that alone didn't produce a 13 point victory.
The most telling stat I saw was the Dryden RB's had 44 carries and 0 (ZERO) broken tackles!?!?!.
That doesn't seem normal to me. Either Bort made some changes to breaking tackles or the BSB have the best tackling team in GLB. Or both.
Amazing performance by the BSB defense. Great job.
Even more than tactics, I think this tournament is showing who has the best BUILT teams:
DDL, BSB, Krazy Monkeys, etc....
There were quite a few strange things in this one...
As a whole, we rarely suffer drops and we had 9 of them in this game. I have NO idea how we had 0 missed tackles against their RBs - great work by our Defense I guess. (Their RBs had me worried, no doubt.)
Also, I must admit I was a bit worried when I saw these two plays not go for TDs in the first quarter:
