Did you expect much more?

That link is expired. Which story was it?

IF you all get a chance, read the column by Dan Wetzel on Yahoo! titled "Rogge rips wrong guy." I normally don't care for Wetzel too much, but it's a good read.

Oh, and btw, the US basketball team are killing the Argentinians.

Then there was that chinese bitch that fucking landed on her knees in the vault finals and somehow still knocked hot ass Alicia Sacramone out of the bronze position. Fuckin' bulllshit. I think hotness/cup size should have some weight in the final scores.

Hot?! Look at the size of her neck!!

You're saying that you'd kick her out of bed?
Gymnast = flexible. Think about it.

I don't think I would kick anything with a set of tits out of bed....

It's about how the IOC quit the investigation almost as soon as it began.

Why is it such a big deal that a girl is too young? I think they should let any age person that can compete be a part of the Olympics. The Olympics should be the best in the world, not the best in an age group.

They changed the age for Gymnastics because the china gov took little kids and put them in these gymnastic school's and pretty much torture them if they don't do well. I think they use to have kids as young as 12 going in the Olympics.

I agree that yes it is the best in the world, but when you are forced into a sport and basically told if you don't do well you will die then someone needs to step in, and the OLC did that. The Chinese Government still does this but they just can't send anyone younger then 16. I'm pretty sure that is why this is a major deal.

If you look at the diving the Brits have a 14 year old diving on there team, i think it mainly depends on the sport.

i think its a risk to have kids so young compete on such a level, emotionally or physically 12-14 is a little young for them.

Emotionally it might mess with their heads up (I really don't think so because the chinese athletes are national idols) but physically the younger they are the easier gymnastics are for them because of flexibilty, size, and how much faster the body heals. That's one of the bigger deals about the whole thing.

yea i agree, i thinks its more of a risk physically for them. but coming with being a national icon at such a young age, who knows what could happen if they lose, blow it... could become suspect to a lot of criticism. especially in a country like china where they are such a big deal.

either way its gotta be a lot for young kids to handle, i couldn't imagine that kind of pressure compared to little league baseball and shit.

I'm pretty sure the rules are governed by the specific sport's official world governing body. Not 100% on that, but I believe that's what I heard. I guess they all have different age requirements based on the stress level the sport places on the athlete.

Competitive gymnastics is horrible for younger people because of all the stress on the yet fully developed bones and joints. Contorting themselves in the way they do can cause permanent and irreparable damage to their bodies and not allow themselves to fully develop.
