does more vision in the FB help him pick up the DE? Is this a case of the FB being too speedy?

Theoretically vision will help him pick out the best blocks to make, but apparently at higher levels it can lead the blockers to a stronger guy who is farther away, too.

It honestly doesn't look like the FB is even headed towards anyone, so I would guess adding vision would help. If you already have 40+ vision, there's not much you can do but blame the sim.

Oddly, this is a product of a FB having too much speed. He lets in tacklers behind him. This is why it's so important to watch the games so you can adjust.

I never did like that advice that said your FB should be as fast as your primary HB to block downfield. That seemed unrealistic to me.

The vision issues at higher levels is spread across the spectrum of positions I guess.

Agreed. Don't get crazy on the FB speed, if you are going to be the lead blocker. Can get WAY too far ahead of the HB.
