Or you could just sell the team to someone that will make an honest attempt and then no one has to come up with ridiculous game plan to try and conserve energy facing this loser. He doesn't try to win, he doesn't put any other human players on his team, he doesn't contribute anything except a headache to the league, so why should suffer him staying here when there could be a REAL team with REAL players in his place.

Its one thing to buy a team that you just put a couple of your players on and then fill with CPU players without caring about your record. It makes you a terrible owner and it inflates the season stats of other teams but that's your decision if you want to piss away your cash on a game you don't care about. But when you exploit the game to do stupid things completely against the spirit of the game and those actions really screw up everything for the team you are playing that's just BS and doing it 2 games in a row proves it wasn't an "oops" moment with the AI settings. How can you make it through a game against that crap getting all your players decent XP and without losing tons of energy or having to pay a bunch of CPU players for one game?

For some reason, the game can't count past 255.
It probably means that the variable in the code used to hold each team's score is limited to one byte (8-bits) of data. An 8-bit byte can represent 0-255.

Very well said. Owners shouldn't have to be in the position where they have to sign extra CPU players because of a few knucklehead owners. There are quite a few owners in our league with sub .500 records who have no real shot at the playoffs. But they don't seem to have a problem fielding teams and having enough class and sportsmanship to still give every game their best efforts.

San Antonio had 3 wins in season 2 and we are right in the thick of the playoff race this season. We never gave up, just kept plugging away and we just might win 12 games this season but it's gonna be tough. My point is don't give up and ruin this league. Keep trying to sign players. We play KC today. I hope they don't screw us the same way. We have a hard game friday.

This guy doesn't care about KC winning a single game or ever doing anything, he hasn't given up on the team he just never cared about winning to start with. KC is basically a private D-league team for the Bel Air Beardogs. Check it out, the only human players on the team are d1sregard's players and a second kicker which is owned by, suprise surprise, the guy that owns the Beardogs, janonymous. Once d1sregard's TE and G are high enough level to play for Bel Air they will be gone too. They've just taken the farm team to the next level and completely given up even running an offense in favor of power leveling kickers by exploiting a bug with their exp per game.

And if I correctly recall Bort's wording, he expressly said that one team cannot profit by making the other team uncompetitive, in other words you can't just completely rip off one team taking all their good players. If you want a farm team you have keep them relatively competitive and not do excessive trading with them. If this isn't a text book example of making one team COMPLETELY uncompetitive I don't know what is. Just go back to season 3 and look at the human players that were on KC early on, now look what team a lot of them are on now, the Bel Air Beardogs, so we've got one team profiting and one team purposefully tanking itself to power level players that will be used elsewhere. I think that makes this pretty much a text book farm team.

Yeah our energy didnt take as big of a hit when we played them cause we subbed everyone in and out.. that, and we werent very good at the time with a basement chemistry! Hey our DT did get 12 sacks though - thats gotta be some kind of record! haha

Still can't believe nothing's been done to this prick. He still has his team!!!! Their K went from level 9 to 16 in the game against us.
