Quick and dirty today due to me being down with strep.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Week 10 Review--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Woodridge Lumberjacks vs Nice Dauphins - My Prediction: Ljacks over Dauphins 85-10. Not quite as bad as I thought it'd be. I guess that's really all you can say about this game. Woodridge won 65-6

Valhalla Vikings vs Stuttgart Nighthawks - My Prediction: Valhalla over Stuttgart 31-17. Ouch. Valhalla may of won, but at what cost? The offense clicked today, but the defense seemed almost shell shocked. Valhalla won 41-37 in a nailbiter.

Aberdeen Wrecking Crew vs Lake Charles Who Dats - My Prediction: AWC over LCWD 28-17. AWC goes above and beyond against a weak looking LCWD, winning 36-14

** Game of the Week** Berlin Blitzkrieg vs Toledo Swords - My Prediction: Berlin over Toledo - 24-17. Berlin steps up and knocks Toledo down 24-23. Close but no cigar!

Fightin' Texas Aggies vs Wembley Warriors - My Prediction: FTA over Wembley - 24-21. Wembly managed to hang onto this one - 38-34 with 14 points in the 4th quarter.

Carthage Army of Darkness vs European Assassins - My Prediction: lol. Results: Lol

What did you expect?

E-City Mercenaries vs London Monarchs - My Prediction: London over E-City 24-21. E-city toughened up and took Monarch out 16-10 with a bend but not break defense that allowed 350 yards, but held london to an early fg and a 4th quarter TD.

Lyon Sharks vs Blackpool Mountain Lions - My Prediction: Blackpool pounces on the Sharks: 31-14. Sure enough, the Mountain Lions got over their fear of the water to thrash the Sharks 38-20. With a solid win here, Blackpool is now safe from contention.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Current Power Rankings--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 - Woodridge Lumberjacks - Another day...another win...when oh when will the Ljacks stumble?

2 - Berlin Blitzkrieg - Berlin nearly lost their bout with Toledo this week, and while it was hardly a decisive win, it's good enough for me! A win next week against Valhalla will seal them into the #2 spot.

3 - Toledo Swords (+1) - Their march was stopped by Berlin...but just barely. Their strong showing leaves no doubt in my mind that they've earned their spot here. They've got 2 tough games remaining this season - AWC and Woodridge.

4 - Valhalla Vikings(-1) - How far can one go in football with the best passing offense in the game? About 4th place. They won their game against Stuttgart, but only at the last possible second due to a dismal showing by their defense. Their remaining schedule is tough with Berlin, AWC, and E-City in the next 3 weeks. They'll need to hold it together if they want to have a chance against any of those teams - let alone Woodridge.

5 - Aberdeen Wrecking Crew - They beat LCWD like red headed stepchildren today - silencing my doubts that they would choke yet again. Now they enter a rough stretch with Toledo, Valhalla, and FTA. Can the team that felled the Lumberjacks go through this stretch unscathed? Home field advantage in the playoffs is their trophy if they can.

6 - Stuttgart Nighthawks(+3) - Despite losing the game against the Vikings, they pushed the game to the final seconds, and was only 1 or 2 plays away from taking home a win. It's good enough to bump them several spots in the ranking.

7 - E-City Mercenaries(+1) - A shutout win against Carthage will hopefully transition into a strong showing the next few weeks as they go to fight Monarchs, LCWD, and Toledo. Their home stretch doesn't bring any comfort as they finish the season with the Vikings, FTA, and the Pimps visiting. They're going to need to pull a rabbit out of their hat to stay in the playoffs.

8 - Fightin' Texas Aggies(-2) - What should of been a solid win against Wembly turned sour today, hopefully they don't falter with Stuttgart, Berlin, and AWC in the coming weeks.

9 - Lake Charles Who Dats(-2) - A loss against AWC today sees them drop to .500 This was their best chance to pick up an underdog win, so now they'll have to find satisfaction else where.

10 - Wembley Warriors (+2) - A great win against FTA and what should be 2 fairly easy wins against Lyon and Blackpool over the weekend see Wembly leapfrog their brothers over at London.

11- London Monarch (-1) - A tough loss against E-City leaves London in trouble - this is the one they had the best chance of winning.

12 - Carthage Army Of Darkness(-1) - This week's obvious win against the Assassins probably helped morale, which is good because they're going to need all they can get when they travel to Woodridge.

13 - Nice Dauphins - Not sure what to say about Nice - they've got their only winnable game of the season vs Blackpool next week. At this point relegation is all but determined, so it's all about bragging rights.

14 - Blackpool Mountain Lions - Thanks to a great win vs Lyon, they've managed to avoid relegation this season. They've bought themselves another month to rebuild. Will they be able to use it?

15 - European Assassins (+1) - Legalbama has slowly and quietly put together a fairly solid roster with good depth. Unfortunately it won't be enough to save them this season. Look for them to do well in AAA next season.

16 - Lyon Sharks(-1) - Destined for the depths of AAA with their loss to Blackpool this week, Lyon has some soul searching ahead of them.

Nice job Helluin! Thanks for doing it.

I must say that I'm not comfortable being in the #3 spot. It seems to me that the #3 spot belongs to another team... Either the Swords, Berlin or Woodridge is going to have to go to make things right again. This worries me.

I promise you, we are taking NONE of our remaining opponents lightly. This is one tough league!

I'm loving the final stretch of this regular season. In week 14, we finally get a chance to avenge our devastating loss to Toledo from all the way back in season 1:

We just don't forget about teams that beat us like that. It's about time we get the chance to set the record straight. And when we're done with them, we get to demolish my favorite opponents in the league, the Vikings. Oh boy oh boy, think it will be closer than last time Helluin?

It's always an honor to play the best.

Right now our concern is AWC. They're going to be more than a hand full!
