So there's getting to be some Strength WR's, does anybody have a Strength/tackling corner to try and counter that?

I train Strength. No point putting points there just yet, until more "Strength WR's" exist, and running to the outside is more commonplace. Been doing this all season, after Power Backs became so good.

Yeah I think strength is now necessary for CBs because mine is having trouble getting off WR blocks and it's really hurting our outside rushing defense. Our other starting CB is having the same problem.
How much strength do you guys think is necessary?

A sweep-stuffing and fumble-forcing CB is a cool idea, but it's always going to be somewhat of a liability to the team. Putting all the points into str and tackling is going to hurt the PDs and coverage abilities, and getting burnt is never fun.
Generally its best to keep CBs focused on shutting down the receivers, and leave hard hitting to your safeties. That being said, you still want enough tackling to wrap-up consistently, and some strength to break blocks now and then. Theoretically you should be good enough to keep the ball away from a slower power receiver, and if he does catch the ball hopefully your safeties don't miss

Well, at this point even CBs need tackling or you are hurting your team more so than anything. Having more strength wont hurt your PDs directly it will just slow your build down. Your right its better to just focus on stopping the WR, something that takes alot of work right now.
CBs should try to get strength to atleat 18 though.

I've been training strength exclusively for about 2 weeks now, and it knocked my Pass Defense bar up to 42. So Strength does have some importance towards defending the pass.
