I also drool over having 100 strength though. There is no question my DT has been feeling the pain from the changes. At least my DE picked up the slack (and then some). Actually the biggest change that has hurt my DT is on most of the new plays that Bort created for the new AI, the RB/FB do a much better job of picking up rushers coming up the middle. Also as vision has increased across the board, I get OC's and even RG's who will pop over for some backside help and block my DT once he gets past the first LGr. It was a huge swing of the pendulum against us DT's. But I would still lead our league in hurries, if it wasn't for the guy who got 35 in one game and now has 36.

I have resisted the urge to give my build away openly, and I really don't see a need to change that yet. But his DT has somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-20 more stregth and 5-10 more agility than mine. I currently have an equal amount of points invested in both strong base and shed block, and there is no question about which one helps my player more. Which is why I gave my original response. The gap should be even wider for him since he has even more strength vs. agility comparatively.

Plus not to make excuses, but I have 3 games in there where I wanted to try out elusive style and switched all of my equipment over to agility. Long story short... Stick with strength and strong base as a DT.

Or in other words;

"Strong Base,, no question about it."

Bort made some changes to blocking duration today which I think will help DTs. Gonna have to watch some of you better DTs and see how you do.

Using elusive will increase sacks for the DE. Elusive makes you bounce off the guard, right into the OT so there is nobody left to block the RDE.
