Congrats, Rum Runners. You are certainly making a good case that relegation isn't always the best process. While we put up with Dogdandy and UCanes, you guys are able to beat a good Pro Team.

It is only a bad process because of gutting
I don't think we'll ever get past gutting as long as teams are allowed to trade and cut with limited rules in place, and I wouldn't want teams that play in the spirit of the game to be hamstrung because of gutters.
But a team that is gutted should be moved at the end of the season to the bottom of the region while they rebuild, and should be spread evenly at the bottom. Then increase promotion so the better teams move up faster and the guts eventually will be the bottom.
