I currently have my agi higher than my speed for my power back and I am liking it a lot at the moment. He is only level 13 though so I was wondering if anyone at a higher level has more agi than speed. Don't worry, I am not asking for specifics of your build I just don't want to hit a brick wall at a higher level. Thanks for your help.

Your speed should probably be higher than your agility. My speed is about 15% higher than my agility right now.

Speed should be 0-50% higher than agility. The greater the difference however the less acceleration you will have. I keep my agility and speed equal, while I don't run away from many competitors after breaking a tackle I accelerate to full speed almost immediately.

Agility > Speed

Funny how everyone has a different answer.

I'm the same, except at the times between leveling which they are about 5 points off.

agility>speed ( why be able to run 100mph if you can only get to 50 by the time the defenders get near )

I find that speed has a greater effect on BrTk's than agility does, thus higher speed. Another power HB who was built slightly ahead of mine confirms this.

possibly but even if you break that extra tackle you wont accelerate fast enough to get a good run

I don't think that it's out of the realm of possibility that either speed or agility is greater than another.

The argument for agility is that with the new acceleration aspect tied to it, reaching top speed faster, however slow it may be, is more important than having breakaway speed in the open field and having to break tackles which would then make said player accelerate to top speed all over again, ultimately slowing him down in the long run.

The argument for speed, however, is more and more logical the more I think about it. A back with 65 strength running towards you with about 40 or so speed is going to have more "umph" when he meets that defender head on. It's a sticky situation.

Agility will help you break longer runs, though. It'll help you break more tackles in and of itself, it'll allow you to accelerate faster creating the bigger impact to break tackles (which can be confirmed as a factor in breaking tackles... Look at the changes made to the way RBs run upfield last year and the beginning of Power Back's rise to power), and it'll allow you to get back to your top speed faster AFTER a broken tackle, allowing you to get back to top speed faster to break away from more defenders/break more tackles.

Of course, with that said, without the speed to get fast enough to do anything... Agility is irrelevant. I would try and keep them pretty equal, personally. If you're going to favor speed in the long run, though, it may be worthwhile to go into the speedster tree and dump a couple points into First Step.

Agility should always be higher than speed for a powerback.

Well, right now, my agility is exactly 8% higher than my speed. I'm a firm believer in the "agility>speed" club. However, I've done some research and asked a few questions here and there and some of the most successful people in terms of power back building favor speed. As I said, it's a sticky situation and people have had success with both.

I like to soft cap speed and agility for power backs. I do keep agility higher then speed though. For me it goes STR>Powerthru>Agility>Speed
