I keep hearing about people doing this, but I'm just trying to figure out if it's really worth trying to train up passed 20

it's effective getting it up to 20, but unless every other relatively imp attribute(speed, agiltiy, strength, jumping, stamina, tackling, vision, confidence) is at 30, it's not worth training it higher than 20.

confidence is really not needed to go pass 20.
i have less than 17 confidence and my team is 3 and 3 yet i still 100 morale

Your confidence should be at 100 on a 3-3 team.

Unless you are getting pancaked confidence isn't really needed.

Also, blocking can be considered a secondary attribute, so after your main skills and most of your secondaries are trained to a point where it isn't that effective(25+) set training to blocking.

Well one theory that I have heard is that if you're going to play up to your potential, you need to have a high confidence. Aka - you might have the physical tools, but you might not believe you can do something so you won't try it.

Only if there is something dropping it. O-line players don't have any confidence hitting skills, the only things that would affect a d linemen should be getting pancaked, or missing a tackle.

Now say you are a NT, confidence ought to help when casting line general.
