Okay, I'm gunna start this off with the statement that yes I know I put too many points into the SAs for my level. I do have custom equipment with its SA bonus into the Coverage tree. This was my first build so I was learning as I go. The SAs will help save points later on, but still went way too far with my SA points early on and have no intention of spending another point on them for another 10-15 levels.

This is primarily meant as a coverage build, though I've been working on increasing the tackling and strength as my GM has been using him in a lot of man coverage up on the line.

Strength: 17.18 Blocking: 11.68
Speed: 28.09 Tackling: 20.43
Agility: 21.43 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 18.68 Catching: 19
Stamina: 31.41 Carrying: 11.68
Vision: 29.7 Kicking: 9
Confidence: 19.1 Punting: 8

Coverage abilities:
First Step: 3
Change Direction 3
Swat Ball 3
Super Vision 3
Shutdown Coverage 3

Hard hitter abilities:
Wrap Up 1
Diving Tackle 1

Admittedly this won't be easy to salvage in the short term, but so far since I started working on my vision to support the lower speed (reading the play better to make up for the lack of speed), my tackle numbers are way up and I got my first INT.

Salvaging this build could be possible. However, you'll have to give up any other goals on this player, except his ability to remain competent in the long term.

I am assuming stats are without equipment and that you have 3 boosts left this season. Dont forget to make sure you have a contract for season 5 before boosting! It may mean difference between starting in a capped league and being backup somewhere else.

You are going to make, what, 4 levels this season? + 3xboost?
That's 35 points to spend + training.

Train agility.
As you level up, your next 17 points should go to vision (that should put you on soft cap). That's the easy part.
After vision, put everything on speed. You'll get near the soft cap.

Season five, keep training agility untill you hit a new level (around day 5?) and get your speed to soft cap. Drop the rest of your points to agility. Your agility should be around 28 by then and you'll have 4 points to put there for total 32.
At that point, you can go back to training tackling while increasing your agility as you level up.

You'll be a level 19 FS with decent mobility and good vision. Maybe a level or two behind better builds, but absolutely a good player. Even more importantly, your build suddenly has a future and you can go into "train it first, then cap it" strategy.
Around lvl 30 you can afford messing around with your SPs again

It's actually not a bad build you have right now. Yes, you are too heavy into the SA's for your level but that's not a mortal wound by any means.

Your vision and speed are your highest stats (that's good), with agility being about 75% of those two (that's also good). Your strength and tackling are actually a bit higher than they need to be at your level, but not ridiculously so. Same could be said for your jumping & catching. Your stamina is plenty high; you won't need to put more points there for a long time.

If I were you, I would keep dumping your SP's into your "big 3" stats (vision, speed, and agility) over the next few level-ups. Exactly how you do that is up to you, but also depends a lot on what your coach is doing with your player. If you are spending a lot of time matched up 1-on-1 with a WR at the line of scrimmage, then you probably need speed & agility in the short term, with vision a slightly lower priority. On the other hand, if you are mostly hanging back in center field, then vision is probably the most important of those three stats, with speed & agility slightly lower priority. Either way, I'd suggest you build up all three of those stats simultaneously, rather than leaving two of them in the 20's while you build up one all the way to the 40's or 50's. FS's need to be good at a lot of different things; I don't think disproportionate, skewed builds are *ever* the way to go at this position.

Use your nightly trainings to slowly build up your secondary stats: strength, jumping, confidence.

I honestly don't think you need to worry about "salvaging" anything here. Other than heavy on the SA's, it's a pretty decent build.

agreed with jpop. builds are almost never "unsalvagable?" unless the agent was really dumb
and trust me, the SAs are a long term investment, you'll enjoy them when the time comes!
