So like everyone else, i've been trying to figure out how to build the best linebacker. My pass defense and run defense bars on my scouting report are both light green. I've seen many other higher lvl linebackers who are still in the yellow. Does this mean that my level 23 LB is better than a level some 27 linebacker who is still in the yellow? It's an honest question.

Is it fair to say my lvl 23 LB is better than his lvl 28? Just looking for some input.

I don't believe that SAs make a bit of difference for scouting reports and it appears he's been spreading SAs out along with his main attributes.

To say you're better than him based on scouting reports would be a poor analysis.

This other player does have 25 extra skill points than you.

Regardless - you wouldn't know until you looked at his build.

Is it safe to say that you have str/agi/spe/vis/tac soft capped or at least close to it?

yea, i do have most of my physical attributes soft capped. I do agree with you. It sort of suprised me that i reached the green color in the scouting reports so fast. I do have points in the SA skill tree but i try not to put many in them because i feel like they don't really have much of an effect for linebackers.

SAs don't make an effect....yet.

For whatever reason - based on our positions, I think it's going to take a lot of confidence to push most of our SAs over the edge of effectiveness.

I plan to use confidence to help me trash talk and snarl at the QB. Corny as hell, but I think the demoralization of the QB will push a lot of games over the edge especially if your defense's secondary is top notch. INT after INT.

That's my current game plan, but like the advice I gave you - I don't plan to spend 1 skill point into SAs until I achieve my goals for my LBs main attributes.

It is unfortunate as well - because I haven't got much going for me at ROLB...

soft capping strength, vision, speed, agility and tackling will green all three bars. The difference is what you use your equipment for. The SAs I worry about are Aura of Intimidation, Diving Tackle and Defense General (only if you're a MLB). I've been eyeing Shed Block to see if it helps pursuit, but I haven't spent anything on it yet. AOI and strength are key to bringing those power backs down and will allow you to play on a higher tackling level (I've played on Balanced of Power all year).

victory88, I'll have to see how things are with my guy in two more levels, but I'll give you a run for your money. I'm hoping to have my tackling bar turn green very shortly, and my passing bar just went green when I dinged L21.

Interesting read on the attributes part.

Soon enough I'll have both Tackling and Strength capped! YEAAAAHHH!

But for now my focus remains on confidence! (training)

If it makes you feel better...my level 22 has a 39/42 at level 22 which beats you by a level

My LB has 39 Rush Defense at lvl 17. Who cares?

My bad, he's now at 42/42.

Sorry for the stupid question, but I can't seem to find where you guys see the actual numerical values associated with your rush/pass/overall defense levels. Little help?
