I can understand the new guy, getting only money is not really fun, means either a lot of recruiting work (not easy with just CPU, even if you play in Pro League), or 3 seasons of losses. Not a lot of fun, especially if you see the old owner still active around everywhere, which can make you wonder what the hell this whole giving up the team was exactly about ^^

What a selfish, ungrateful douchebag. Letīs see who can hang the most points on these guys. Honestly, leaving the whole team in long term contracts to play for someone they never signed with would be a POS move, not letting them go. Newsflash: Dublin had no reason to help you out with players, and tons of reasons to AT LEAST give his loyal guys, folks he recruited to the team, the chance to do what they wanted. They committed to playing for him, not you.

When we got the Heat, we had 1 row of bleachers, 2.5 mio in the bank, a team of level 1-5 CPUs and an 8 game losing streak. Booohooohoooo, cry me a river.

Ok i still don't know why this is a conversation... Dubin i'm sorry you are dealing with the issues with your family.. AGAIN as stated to everyone before we all see things differently. I saw a team that was completely gutted. It left a bad taste in my mouth when i saw Dublin saying i don't care about the new owner on this thread. When the owner of the team i was on just left he did it with class signed everyone to a season ending contract which would have been a whole lifetime (30 DAYS). Then gave the players a chance to find a team they wanted and traded them for a comparable player. This gave the new owner a CHANCE to complete, and build a team. As a for being called a selfish, ungrateful douche bag by Kevin Smith when you got the HEAT it wasnt in season 4 with 58 level 1 cpus on your team. You were like the rest of the teams new just a few levels off and you were not in the pro league nice comparison..... I sure you will feel like a real man when you beat a team full of guys that cant start in the d-league. GLUCK TO ALL For those who enjoy calling us names still sweet we will enjoy the friendly banter!!!

Paris you are going down today!!! LOL Vegas line Paris by 210 I bet 20.00 on the goats.

If I get you right, you mean beacuse you get the pro league team, it gives you the right to have a fully loaded team with great cash flow, a great stadium and a damn good roster...when I got my team 2 seasons ago, I had 500 000 in the bank, level 1 cpu players and a league with opponents who had already been there for a season!!!
As an old player of the Lyon Sharks (team sold last season by the owner in 2 seconds without even giving notice...), I can tell you I would have appreciated having an owner like Dublin.

Det, again, I'm sorry for the way this was handled. Three quarters of the players on my team were my own and you would have been left with a bunch of inactive players. If there's any way that I can help, just ask and I will do all that I can in the little time that I will be spending on GLB for the time being.

Brian, I'm sorry that you hxce such apparent dislike for and have no desire to form your opinions without knowledge of what occurred. If you read this, understand that my grandfather, who I have devoted the last three years of my life to taking care of, passed away this past Monday. As many have said, I was devoted to those players that I did not own and gave them the option to do whatever they wanted. I had loyalty and history with them, not with someone who I had no idea who they were. You will learn that the WEPL is the best group of people in the game and will embrace those that are taken into the league.

That being said, I would appreciate the insults and down speak to end. People are only protecting that which they have come to accept as one of their own. You don't know me and have had no dealings with me. I'm sorry for the situation you guys are in, and I wish you the best of luck.

Let's all agree to disagree then. Pretty much everyone thought it was the right thing to give the players a choice, (and they chose to leave), while you see that as gutting, fine. Stop saying dublin is a douche or we'll all take our ball and go home and not play with you, we'll build a clubhouse and call our club "no goat's (former goats ok)". As I stated earlier if he was really gutting the team to screw you (a person he didnt even know) he would have traded the 32 mil away too, but he didnt, he only traded the players who didn't want to play for an unknown owner.

I would release all of my players too, if they wanted. I would do whatever they wanted me too do. Could care less, what the new owner thought. It is all about showing loyalty to the people who have played for you season in and season out

If I wanted to own a team, I would have most of my recruits sign verbal contracts before I even put myself on the waiting list. I would EXPECT to start from ground zero. That's just the price you should pay when you decide to own a team. It's a ton of work. Most of the owners in this league started from scratch.

Yeah but we mostly started in a recruiting friendly first season.

Starting with a big loss streak is nothing really funny. The way gutted teams are handled right now is not very good, makes the stats completely biased (some results too, ask DFools ^^), and the new team has a pretty hard time in a totally false league for them.

One thing an owner should be able to do is give the team over to a GM, not a random person from outside. That would bring some more stability to teams. It's no big fun to play 2-4 gutted teams each season.

They can request that already, it's just that the Valencia GM was taking a semi-retirement too.

Don't be upset. Just think of your team as the Detroit Lions.
