I know elusives are fast and get lots of yardage, but they get tackled easily.

I also know that powerbacks are slower, but can plow through the defense.

I know that if built right combo's should be able to plow through defense AND get around it quickly. Obviously it's a combo of an elusive and power back.

But what i don't know: Which one is the best?

I prefer more power with some speed.

Power or combo. Combo use to not be effective but I think this year has changed. With new settings for carrying now breaking more tackles, combo backs will not only be elusive but actually be able to break tackles this season. Most higher level elusive/speed backs had fumble problems last season and boosted carrying so their carrying is already fairly high.

By the way I have both a power back and an elusive back. Last year my power back took home 2 1st place trophies and destroyed my elusive back in stats. This year so far both are doing well but my power back is already fighting for another rushing trophy. My elusive back however is in a much more competitive league.

This.

Power or combo backs tilted toward strength will probably always be better because of the natural mismatches against the secondary who need to focus on speed/agility/vision to effectively cover WRs.
