I can't even express what this thread means to me. You're prayers and support have been overwhelming and I will argue with anyone that says that the WEPL isn't full of the best people in GLB.

About some of my players, I plan on trying to stay as active with GLB as I can. I most definitely want to keep some of them in the WEPL as theres no better place to be. I'm trying to get them all signed as quickly as I possibly can, but its just a slow moving process.

About my grandfather. Edmon Lamar Hardy passed away at a little after 10 PM CST this evening. He went peacefully in his sleep after the nurses administered some medication to help him relax. He was about as stubborn an old man as they come, but he cared deeply for everyone and everyone cared just as deeply for him. He was a POW for 26 months in World War 2 after being captured at the battle of Kasserine pass in Northern Africa. He has two great kids, my aunt and my father.

I want to, again, express my gratitude on my family's behalf for your thoughts and prayers. GLB may just be a game, but its turning into one hell of a community.

Also, to everyone who has sent me messages, I apologize for not responding, but the sheer number of messages offering help and such has been so great that it would took me a week just to try and answer them all. I hope you all read this, because I greatly appreciate them. I read most of them on my blackberry while I was up at the hospital and it made some of the harder times that much easier.

Sorry to hear about your loss. He sounds like a great man...I can only imagine what youre going through.(ive never had any grandparents...)

haha, and while I'm completely flattered about the idea of naming the championship after me or the team, I think it would be better suited to name it something along the lines of the "Rogers Cup" or similar. Mike as done so much for this league that my brain can't even begin to grasp it sometimes.

Once again, sorry to hear about your loss. At least your grandfather went peacefully.
