With the way it is now, you can either be good at stopping the run, good at pass rushing, or being mediocre at both.

Speed/Agi will get annhilated against the run, and I can't spear for a strength build's pass rushing ability.

Wrong. My level 15 guard has 70 strength and 55 blocking, more than enough to pancake a DE with only 50 strength. 50 strength isnt nearly enough especially when you get above level 15 or 16, unless your going with a speed or agility based DE.

I am a converted RDE so for the last season now I have been playing LDE. my str is 58,
agl 61, and speed is 48. with decent vision and con on its way to 30. my question is, could I be successful on the Left side with Agility and Elusiveness, or should I focus on Str and Bull rush. I have my lv 24 upgrades coming soon.

I believe this is a crucial time in his build and there is no turning back.

yup. i got 45 str and the OT i faced only recorded 2 pancakes in 3 games. if you have enough agi/spd you can avoid being pancaked

What about 60 strength with 70 agility?

you dont need 60 str.

just have your spd and agi high enough and you can get away with sub 50 str

From experience.

Wrong

RDE + LDE = same exact thing

Are you sure Sam? I mean, LDE should imo help stopping the outside run...

This statement is terribly wrong. Terribly, terribly wrong. If you look around you will find plenty of DEs that are damn good at both pass rushing and run stuffing.

Doesn't mean they should be bull rushing.

You'll be fine at LDE with a speed rush.

Care to enlighten us? I'm built as a pass rusher, and can't break a run block for the life of me.

I'm built as a pass rusher but I still crush OTs in the run game. Just because you are built primarily as a pass rusher doesn't mean you can't be effective in the run game.

My DE is far from min/max also, I wasted a pisston of points early that I can never recover .

Agility takes the cake. I have a level 6 DE who has 45+ agility who went up against a level 17 RT and got a hurry. If you ask me that is GREAT!

It could have just been a fluke though. If he does that on occasion I would be impressed.
