Are blocking TE's in demand? I was thinking of creating a strong run blocking TE, but I'm worried that as I gain in levels, no human teams will want me. So, are there a lot of run first teams out there, that use blocking TE?

Plenty of teams will want you just also put some points into receiving stuff I got about 200 offers when I was a blocking free agent tight end

Since TEs are often open, it doesn't really require building a "receiving TE" to get a decent number of receptions. The nice thing about building a stronger TE is you break some tackles after those wide open catches. Breaking the tackle of a SS means big yardage, even if the D eventually runs you down.

I like a good balanced TE, thats what I've tried to build my guy up as. 40/40 str/blocking is enough to be a pretty decent blocker, but you can throw in the excess points to speed, agility, and catching to round out your guy.

TEs are indeed open a lot so you want to be able to help out when the QB checks down and tosses you the ball, but some blocking skills are huge as well.

Just get a modest amount of speed and agility, ~30, and some catching, 25+, and you'll be all set for receiving. Occasionally leveling up Lower Shoulder will be what gets you the extra yardage, though.

Got a blocking TE right now, and since he's on a team favoring the run he got the starting nod over an all around guy 4 levels higher. Said individual has since asked for a trade/release and is no longer with the team.

Soft capped STR and capping blocking currently. Lotta gear and some points in hands to get it above 30, but not tons in agility or speed.

Good enough to get the back past the line clean, but my TE won't stay out in front very long. I'd say they're in good demand, especially if you find a team dedicated to the running game.

Since everyone boosted speed, Power HBs are breaking through tackles, making blocking TEs better.

Depends on the team though, receiving TEs are still the most popular it seems.
