Meh, been there done that. It's SO last season IMO.
Hopefully the other guys in that league just get over it quickly. My faith in the Admin guys to fix it is broken.
Not a shot at the Devil Vikings, btw. More of a shot at Bort

Yeah. It's the letter of the law, not the spirit of the law that gets enforced. So the giant loophole makes the rule pointless anyway and it's not going to change.

I don't necessarily blame Bort & Co. to this point. Yes, its a problem - and sooner or later its one they're going to have to deal with. If this keeps happening, they're going to lose a lot of paying customers who aren't going to keep shelling out money to not compete.
The assurance has been that the promotion/relegation thing will right the competitive balance within 4-5 seasons, which would be about accurate, I think, were it not for situations along these lines. If it doesn't happen, and people have been relegated a bit to where they 'should' be, and keep seeing teams showing up with 3-4 levels on everyone else, they're not going to keep buying.
Bort & Co. are great developers. They have some fantastic ideas for the game, and should focus on that, primarily. Meanwhile, they should select 2-4 mods to come up with clear definitions and policy on matters like this, and be responsible for investigation and enforcement, which not only isn't the strong suit of the people who have innovated the game and shown a passion for trying to improve its strategies and functionalities, but it shouldn't have to be.

Reminds me of when I played youth football. #1 team in the league played us in the playoffs. Yet they mysteriously "lost" their roster of players. They had some huge players for the 125lb national league. (There was All-American, National, then C League.) Well we just barely lost to them by 6 points and a shoe string tackle when our RB was running down the field with 2 mins left, mostly because our #1 WR broke his leg the game before and our QB had a concussion. -BUT- The next week I saw the 140 lb teams playing, and lo-and-behold I saw some of the players from the "125 lb team" out there.
Shoulda heard their coach yelling at his team when we almost beat them though. It was quite epic to hear that douchebag yelling at a bunch of youth football players.

That's an interesting story, but when I played, the weight was a maximum, not a minimum. If you're under 125, you're under 140.

Yeah, it was maximum. They cheated by getting heavier players that weren't on their team, nor supposed to be. Max you were supposed to be was 125, but they mysteriously lost their depth chart that said names, weight, and ages of players. They also had some players from their American League on there apparently, but I never heard anything beyond he got in trouble. Not sure what the punishment was either, was a long time ago.
players in the 115 league had to weigh 100-115 pounds 125 league was 115-125 and 140 was 125+. There was one exception to the rule as we had this kid that weighed like 145 on our team, but he was like 2-3 years younger than everyone, and man was he slow/weak. He cried like every other day and quit the team like 5 times during the season hahaha.
