After a slow first day, Vikings make their move in FA
The Vikings were very busy Tuesday night and Saturday morning sign a bundle of high-level free agents. Musky5 and the Vikings recruiting staff started their pursuit of many of the top free agents well back into season three. This strategy turned out to be a perfect one as the Vikings were able to lock in many high level FAs before day 40 even hit.
“It’s not just the levels of these players” musky5 commented, “its their builds as well. We working very hard trying to find players with the best builds and I believe we have done that very well so far this offseason.” Musky5 is very excited about the upcoming season as well as the last couple days for recruiting. He tells me they still have a lot of work to do, but believes they have the team to beat in the Western Conference of BBB#3. The focus for the next couple days he told me will offensive line and wide receiver.
The signings:
Manute Bol – LB who will play more on the outside for the Vikings. He has a great build and had over 130 tackles the last 2 seasons as well as being a pro-bowler the last 2 seasons.
Marcus Reed – Thanks to the signing of star QB Tarvaris Jackson and the previously mentioned LB the Vikings were able to lock up this level 25 CB as well. He has one of the best builds I have seen out of a CB and will do a lot of damage lining up next to Pwning you.
Harry Henderson – Harry was acquired through a trade made by Vikings GM GoVikings16 and he will be a huge addition to Vikings this coming season. He has the perfect NT, and even though his stats haven’t been outstanding it is a lot of work to take on double teams every play.
Cody Allen – The Vikings have been trying to get Cody for over a year now and today that dream was finally accomplished. Cody has the perfect OLB build and he is going to be a huge addition for the Vikings once he get out on the field.
Blaine Nye – This is my personal favorite as Blaine has one of the best builds I have ever seen. Having him on the offensive line will be huge for the Vikings. He will block for the best QB in the league and open up holes for great HBs Sena Kobayakawa and Daniel Easter.
Paul Rains – In a late day acquisition, the Vikings acquired OT Paul Rains who will join the Vikings as an OT. Paul has an amazing build and will go perfect starting along side Blaine Nye.
Haywood Jublome – Haywood is going to be a welcome addition to the Vikings as a pass blocking OT. He is determined not to give up a sack all year and the Vikings coaching staff thinks that is more then possible. He is also one of the best storied I have come upon in GLB and he will be a great leader for the Vikings.
B. Arthur – B. is right up there with the best blocking FBs in GLB. She has a great build and will open up holes for the Vikings 2 headed monster at RB and will pickup blitzers to make sure Tarvaris stays on his feet.
Justin Cider – Justin is going to fit right in on the Vikings. He has experience already in the Vikings locker room and will be showing what he can do on the field as well. He is going to be a great role player for the Vikings. Not everyone can be on the highlights every game, but Justin will be one of those guys who just gets the job done.
Tarvaris Jackson - There is not much you can say about a level 27 QB with 51 in the throwing bar. Tarvaris has a great build and will spread the ball around the field nicely. He is a great team player and leader. He has no problem taking 3 steps back and putting the ball in a RBs hands. He will be a welcomed addition to the Vikings this season.
With more commitments lined up already the Vikings will be a force to be reckoned with in season 4, but owner muksy5 assured me it will be a long and tough road as the Western Conference in BBB#3 is extremely good.
