I got the PM a few days ago that I had been cut from a team in a lower level league that had replaced me with a level 25 punter, who will probably be the highest leveled player in the entire league next season.
Most of my 3 hours/day on GLB are spent finding information to build my punter better
, and I didn't have a crystal ball and the incredible Evelyn Wood forum speed reading ability to know that my player was going to be cut and that the new team cap would be level 13 before boosting (I boosted early in season 3).
So now I sit...a level 14 punter without a team....might as well be level 1. Just missed the level 13 cap level, and all established teams (not created in the last 2 days) have a kicker and punter higher than a level 14. Bort hates the level 14 kick/punt specialist. I'm thinking about hiring a civil rights lawyer to make sure it's not discrimination. I believe that Bort hates the (GLB) middle class.
Who needs a backup punter?....I'll tell you who...teams that really suck. So if your team punts the majority of your offensive plays (other than those ending up in incompletions/fumbles/interceptions), I suggest you bring in a backup punter to balance the in-game energy utilization to better your field position---it may take the other team 9 plays to score rather than 6.
For the team forum, I will always provide good things to say about your Mom, adequate excuses when your girlfriend comes looking for you, and orange slices on game days.
