With the tackling Nerf's, does anyone think it will eventually pay off to have like 50-60 tackling, and be a fumble forcing machine?

With that much tackling, your other attributes will suffer and you probably won't be in position to make tackles.

And its not a nerf. Its a rebalance. Less tackle % more fumble % on wrap up.

It is a nerf to wrap-up tackling...

But a boon to forced fumbles... which is much more exciting than wrap-up tackling. Nerf is a pretty poor way of describing it.

I'm getting my LBs tackling to 50 so I can cause some more fumbles but I'm not sure if I'll do that with my DT.

I don't think its a big deal for those with balanced builds to begin with. Plus, they are increaseing the importance of carrying in place of making wrap up so good, so it sort of balances out.

I know it balances out, but I wonder what the magic number will be for creating fumbles.

42 tackling here and am doing good on both the forced fumbles and missed tackles.

So those of us who have been relying on wrap up tackle, should be boosting up tackling a bit to compensate. I'm at 27.5 atm for level 22 DE which has been plenty because I've always used wrap up tackle. Should I be looking to go to 32-35 now with the change?

at 27 and on wrap-up tackling you should be fine
if your looking to go balanced or power then it would surely need a raise

Luckily I have been pretty balanced with my DT, and when I soft cap Tackling I'm hoping to be a FF machine.

Everyone always leaves tackling on wrap up, but I can't wait to get my LBs tackling to 50 and strength to 45 and put his tackling on force fumble. Once I start forcing fumbles, everyone will see how much of a game changer it is to be able to force a lot of fumbles (that is if it works).

my DE's tackling is 29. I've had it on balanced and missed 1 tackle all last season. (had 56 total tackles, even though i was RDE)... i was in SA AAA#1 too, which is very competitive.

50 tacking is above and beyond what anybody needs, i'd think. but i guess against a really heavy power back its handy, and to always play on force fumbles.

I'm only doin it with my LB be cause he's at the level where he doesn't have a glaring weakness like when he was a lower level.

We won't really be able to say what a safe point is until the changes actually come around.
