Two things that may help you (though I'm not sure how much now considering the damage has been done) is that you want to put your equipment into 1 or 2 stats, not spread around.
Also, it's not necessarily "harmful" to put points into your special abilities early, but many will say that they aren't nearly as beneficial until the stats they improve or are based upon are high.
I'd focus on getting either -catching- or -speed- to 48 (without equipment) as soon as possible, because that's the point at which your stats begin to cost 2 SP to raise instead of 1, meaning basically that the sooner you get there the more you benefit from gaining stats as you level (the .3 that occurs passively). This is because since it now costs 2 to get 1, in order to get .3 it'd cost you .6, simple math.. The level is worth more.
Furthermore, having a balanced build is a good thing, but you don't want it to be so balanced that you don't excell at anything.
Also, it's best to concentrate all your equipment into your highest stat, that way you get the most use out of your points when it starts to cost 2 for 1. Nice name btw, i got a pic of Hawk for my wr
