Spider-man started a trend of comic-book movies killing off villains.

didnt the first batman kill off the joker?

Even if he did which I honestly cant bring myself to watch those movies after Batman Begins came out it all happened after this one.

batman begins i forgot if he killed dude or if he locked him up

Scarecrow was on the loose still, and he chose not to save Ras when he could.

When any point in a movie where you find yourself almost rooting for the villain, you know he did a great job. Loved it. Seen it twice.

The Killing Joke is the comic, I have the hard-bound of it.

Edit: I think the hard-bound is the "Deluxe Edition" since it has concept art and everything in it. So that may be what you're thinking of.

Yup...That was the one. My copy, which was destroyed in a flood, had some sort of color defect that made it unique or some such...so the comic book guys oogled over it...That's all I remember.
