I know hes level 5.

Im seeing very little skill accumulation. Speed is low. Skills are low. Strength is tough to build after all the other stat points are distributed. Am I walking the rigtht way on this?

Don't put another point into SA until you get to lvl 17.

Your tackling and stamina will be fine for quite a while as well.

Split your sp between speed and vision 3/2 or speed, vision, agility 2/2/1

sell your equipment and rebuy with all your points in one category (I would recommend either vision or speed as they will be maxed first.)

I would train strength and catching. Depending on how you want to build him.

I have 16.88 strength and I am a FS playing SS. So I cover the TE and HB out of the backfield and it is just a little low for me and I am a lvl 25.

I would say you have a good lvl 5 build for a LB.

The stamina doesnt seem to be enough still. I am going below 80 stam most games and I believe I am missng plays because of it.

Tackling and strength will get an increase in effectiveness next season and as a run stop/hard hit FS I would rather stay on top of the ball. Would catching really be that needed? I would rather have stats put in things I would need more often, such as vision.

My advice for tackling a HB has to be agility. Lots of it. When I hit 24 I'm putting all my equip bonus towards agility. There is so much changing direction and elusive backs out there that you could have all the speed in the world and agility would still get you to the tackle faster. Don't discount speed though, its still worth getting to the soft cap and having it be 55-60+, but you NEED agility badly if you want that speed to be useful. I put all my equip into Speed and Agility, my agi is almost to the soft cap, I still slow down while coming into a tackle because of jukes and whatnot. More agility will lessen that slow down and next season agility is going to affect acceleration more so it'll be even better to have high agility.

My strength is only about 20 right now, just train it for now until Speed/Agility/Vision are good. Training confidence is also advisable, helps with the clutch tackles. And jumping is good to be trained too because that helps with diving tackles.

Not many attributes aren't of use to a safety, but the key ones are Agility/Speed/Vision.

I routinely end the game with mid 70s stamina. I have 34 stamina, but remember that if you keep focusing on stamina you might end up the most "fit" guy on the team, but a backup because somebody else with a better build would deserve to start.

Riggs and I disagree on the order of importance, but we both agree that speed, vision and agility are the most important attributes you can use. I recommended training catching, because it is so low that you get the most bang for your training "buck."

I also agree about training confidence and jumping for the same reasons Riggs mentions.

When I bumped my vision up to the soft cap I started making plays on the HB because I saw the play and got there before everyone else. If you don't have great speed and agility you won't make any tackles on the RB because the other guys will get there first, and/or the RB will make you miss.

badgerskin, if you want a run-stopping safety, make a SS

and to kjoyner, you're a level 25 FS playing the SS position with 16 strength? might want to work on that

I just got switched over from FS. The SS(who was also a FS with more strength and tackling) was not as good of a matchup on the TE. Believe it or not we get more PD and fewer completions to TE this way. However, yes I am working on it.
