The team was in pretty bad shape when twikoff bought it, and we had to work really hard to win the few games we did last season. We're still paying for the condition the team was in with our fan support.

I can't say for sure, but I think at least half of our players started from level 1 on the Otters team at the beginning of last season. We brought in some of our older, more experienced players once they hit free agency. For me, my DT started from level 1 on the Otters last season and got pounded every game. My older OT however just came over in free agency, but his little brother was another starter at RT from level 1 until he was recently replaced.

But we all started from the beginning last season so it wasn't TOO bad was it???

We all had to build and recruit from scratch so it shouldn't have been that much of a disadvantage.

The team must have been moved over from another league if it existed before last season I'd guess.

They give them to new owners, usually. That's part of how the list moves.

Not always. I sent a PM to Bort, as I wanted to take over the Shadowblades, after what happened. DD had already taken the team for himself, but didn't know what he was going to do with it. So Bort sent me a PM saying he was hoping someone on the team would want it. I was 1000+ on the list at the time. He just took my 1000 flex points, and gave me the team. So sometime, it comes from outside the list.
