One of the Warriors I was referring to (a D-Leaguer until the start of season three) remains our lowest level WR and yet IIRC logged forty six receptions this season. To me at least, that's an impact.

Again....any player that is lvl 20 should NOT have been in the D-league.

It doesn't really matter whether or not he should or shouldn't have been there. He was - and now he's at Wembley making an impact.

Again we have to disagree on the meaning of "impact".

Impossible to say - but we certainly wouldn't be in a stronger position without them. Again our former D-Leaguers are important cogs in the Warriors machine, they have roles to play. That's why I signed them. That was my main point when we got into this discussion. Despite your early claim to the contrary you *can* find help in the D-Leagues, depending on how strong your roster already is.

Out of interest, if you deem logging forty six catches as not having made an impact, how many receptions would a player have to make for them to have made an impact in your opinion?

My initial statement was regarding a draft system using those players. The impact they can make (if any) is so small, that it doesn't warrant having a draft system for them. There are no players in the D-League that can come in and help turn a team around.

For WRs, I'd judge their productivity in yards and TDs. For me, about 50 Y/G and maybe 8 TDs on the season is what I would consider to be having an impact on your teams' success. 27 Y/G and 1 total TD probably isn't going to make a big impact on your teams' season.

Thanks for responding. Again, we'll have to agree to disagree. A player can make an relevant impact without logging 800 yards in a season and scoring once every two games imo.

Yea....I guess we just have two understandings of what it means to make an impact on the team. For me, the WR in question is nothing more than a role player. And again, to me, one role player doesn't have much of an impact (although a few of them together can).

And again, I'd consider the WR and CB you brought up to be just about best case scenario of what one can expect from a D-Leaguer....meaning a draft using them would not work (and the disparity will only get worse from here on out).

One or two players don't make a championship team, a whole team makes a championship team. I checked out the player in question game logs and he has done his role and moved the ball. What more can a team ask then every player play their role properly?

Also back on topic, I hate all these rules and suggestions about drafts and so on. There are more players then owners, but almost everything made is to accomidate the owners. It is harder for a player to play for who they please now and is losing choice over their player. This game is just becoming an expensive football management game, not a roleplaying game.

For realsies. All those contract offers "REJECTED" with absolutely no info from the player in question about what was wrong with the offer or team make me want to beat people.

Recruiting, for all it's considerable frustrations, is actually my favourite part of being a GLB GM. /paperbag
