This may not be widely considered experimental but what I'm doing is I'm just messing around with a D league TE with the extra FP I've got. And I haven't looked at a TE guide ever so fuck off
List of priorities in order:
Get Strength to 2SP cap
Get Blocking to 2SP cap
Get Vision to 2SP cap
Train catching/stamina
Train confidence

Basically going to be another blocker, and anything I catch is just a bonus. I've started to break a few tackles on catches since I got my strength up to 40, too. And I'll keep my speed and agility down because I figure there's an advantage to having a slower TE going out for the pass.

if you going to block you need agility as well... Push and pull for the Running back

You can keep your speed down and do fine, but a low agility will make you a horrible blocker.

How about a TE with maxed lower shoulder, And top three focus would be strength, vision and agility. He would be a good blocker, and if he caught the ball maybe he could run some people over. He could also be a TE/FB combo.

Train catching and stamina

Yup, truckers can be real good too.

(edit: that's what I call that build)

I've always wondered about a TE with higher jumping, catching, carrying, and confidence to allow him to catch anything that comes his way. Sticky Hands as a primary SA as well. Don't know how effective it is though. Never tried it. Maybe someday.

All you need is vision to not drop a pass. I only have 1 drop this season.

The jumping is what I'm most interested in regarding the build. I want to see if that would prevent pass deflections against him as well. If he can outjump the defender, he has a higher probability of catching the pass, especially across the middle where the TE is usually recieving the ball. Just my theory.

What about only working on speed and strength. All your points go to those two attributes, you should be able to outrun any linebacker covering you and it seems like you could run every defensive back over...
