Is it all strength or do I also need good blocking, agility, speed, etc.

Here is the recipe for pancakes:
High strength, Pancake SA, crappy/out-matched opponents.
Since you are a level 1 Guard, get your stamina up to about 20 so that you can get plenty of playing time.
Then pump all your skill points into strength/blocking until it costs you 2/1.
ALL equipment should go into strength/blocking.
Worry about your agility, speed, vision later.

add some strenght, and then add some more strenght, put any equipment PT's on strenght, and then add some more strenght.

Rommvon gave a good recipe for pancakes. If you don't have crappy opponents you can sustitute double/triple teams.
Also ST snaps help since you often get to go up against LBs and DBs who have much less Strength than the DLine players you normally block.
