Its always hard to fight the spending spree bug.

Monarchs started of slowly, I wasnt around much and we were waiting to boost til late, and performances suffered.

Now its the business end of the season and we have three key games coming up against Play Off rivals, and we have a decision to make, get that top free agent and push the team over the edge, but suffer the Chemistry hit, or leave well enough alone.

Its a tougher choice when you think that all the Play Off teams are going in with 100% Chemistry, or are they?

Despite having easily their best season to date, Who Dats have been wheeling and dealing in the Markets and now are the proud owners of 51% overall Chemistry, with these remaining games...

Woodridge Lumberjacks
Aberdeen Wrecking Crew
Lyon Sharks
Valhalla Vikings
Rohrheim Stampede

....Good Luck Who Dats, something tells me your going to need it.

I might have had Wu Jacks by 10 before Who Dats Chemistry dropped, with a small possibility of a upset.

They are a very strong team when that chemistry sorts itself out.

Chemistry is definitely important enough to cost them their season. However, I'm willing to bet that they sat down and decided that the long term gains of these trades was worth the sacrifice of their 3rd season. The funny thing is, they did so well earlier in the season that they should make the playoffs regardless. They won't have home field advantage, but they'll be attending.

chemistry seems like the catch all for blame. when in doubt it must be chemistry

do we really know how important it is? I mean is there a big difference with a team at 60 versus one at 70?

But we're not talking about 60 vs 70. The Who Dats are 51, all other top 10 teams in Alpha are 100 other than the Warriors on 82, Monarchs on 91 and Dragons on 96.

A difference, but that is not enough on its own, but 50 vs 100 which is what I was referring to, yes thats a big difference.

And I agree Helluin of course they will have considered that, as I did as well when making my moves. Long term gain is upmost in a league like this.

My only question is just how much Chemistry can you recoup befoer the Play Offs in order to remain competitive.

Not much, especially when you consider overall chem is the most important, and it goes up the slowest.

Your biggest gains will be made during off season, but if you're down 50 chem, I don't think you'll be 100/100/100 till early-mid Season 4 even if you lock your roster now.

Chemistry difference is 1% bonus in playing ability for every difference of ten so a 50 vs 100 the 50 team gets a 5% bonus. But you have to compare offense to defense and so forth. So if one team has 0 and the other team has 100 then it would be like the 0 team playing on normal and the 100 team plaing on hard.

Bort has stated several times people are blaming problems on chemistry when they shouldn't. You can take all that for what it is worth

And a further comment that the level of significance is a differential of 15-20 for equally matched teams and tactics.
And that a difference of 30 would be 'challenging' to overcome.

Some people were moaning about it way too much though thats for sure.
