Well, to be fair that's just the "slot machine" way of saying "Sorry, you didn't win."

If every spin won, there would be no risk/reward to the store versus simply building.

I'd settle for their being just a *small* chance that a totally awesome piece would show up at level 4...or 15...or 36.

It's supposed to be gambling. OP would probably have better luck at 51.

Lots of partial AEQ that you can add a % or +3 of your choice to. It saves a few BTs instead of swinging for the fences, trying to score the perfect piece.

It also works better for some positions, like defense for example, because they have multiple needs. If you have to have a very specific piece, the odds of getting it are pretty small.

So true, some positions are better to build rather than shop, and some others are better to shop for a single piece that works and then build the rest.
