Hey guys, I made a player on day 40 of last season and boosted right away. Am I supposed to boost again right away with the new season?

I'm not sure what the optimal way is. Would appreciate any help!

IMO, you would be better off re-starting that dot...and don't boost until the offseason.

Dam, I boosted one of my guys before posting this thread. So he's basically trash now?

If it was a free player slot, the only flex you will lose is the Custom EQ that you purchased. Boosting to level 11 before day 0 is generally a death sentence for building a dot which will be desired/effective at plateau level 79.

I would agree that you would be better off re-starting now and just losing out on the 400 flex cost of the Custom EQ and not wasting months building the dot to plateau for it to be subpar.

Ah man that really sucks, thanks for the info. Might as well play out the season and then retire him after

You got the answer already. Let the owner of the team know you screwed up, and you're going to retire and remake the WR. Don't ever boost to 11 prior to day one. If this was a free player, make sure you turn off the AUTO BOOST feature.

You can still remake this player for this season. Most of us have screwed up players before, it's not a huge deal.

Get the owner to release him. Retire and remake the same player without the boosts and then resign him.

But he'll be level 1 compared to everyone else being 6, isn't that a big deal?

You are still able to use 5 preseason boosts to get to Lvl 6 if you so wish

I guess it all depends on if this team is a 2 or 3 season Gold Trophy chasing team or a long term team that's trying to actually compete at the Pro level.

I only build players to compete at the Pro level so I would retire, rebuild and just be 5 levels behind all the way to Pro.

It's your player so it's ultimately up to you. Make the choice that best fits what you and the team are trying to accomplish.

Edit: for agreeing with Ryan's statement too.
