To explain, you ain't the only one. I recently got confused as to which dot I was applying VP's to and really blew it. Thought I was working on a TE and, instead, it was a DE... which can't use 'Outside Blocker' for crap. Combine that with Second wind needing to also be exchanged and I was in a bit of a pickle because you can only reset 15 points at the end of every season (10 earlier in career). So I chose to swap out the 'Outside Blocker' and will reset the Second wind at the end of this season.
Would it be better if there was some kind of 'oops, I need a reset' button in the middle of the season? Sure. But it would have to come with the loss of the reset at the end of the season or the damn thing would get exploited like crazy with everyone resetting before playoffs or doing resets before games to change out one for another depending on the opponent. You could limit how often but that's a lot of re-coding as well. Easier to simply have a set number of 'reset points' that you can use up... either at season's end or middle of the season... whichever you need.
