Me again

So in a nutshell, if you're building a team ...you really don't have a choice about boosting right? Teams advance by player age...and not by level correct?

So if you own your entire offense, you have to boost everyone ($$) or you're eventually dead in the water correct?

Also I thought there was a league without boosting. Or was that during my drinking days, and just a happy place i went to in my mind?

You have to boost.

Yes. Technically you can play for free... If you enjoy losing.

There used to be sub-leagues (monster, iron Man etc..) that played through scrimmages and those didn't allow boosting within their own rules.

About 50 seasons ago, the leagues were level based, which gave rise to the "super slow build" which was the root of all evil, and forced the current league structure into being.

If you want to hit level 79, you need to boost.

Try Pee Wee Leagues. Stoned Beaver could probably be helpful there.

So it's like OzzFest. Free to get in, but you have to pay to get out. Except i get to see Ozzy and I'll get laid rather than screwed.

I don't mind shelling out a few bucks to support something i enjoy, but what it would cost me here to be competitive....I could buy every Madden and all other football related games for the PS4. A couple times a year lol. Let's see.....dots on my PC, or the best the gaming industry has to offer on my big screen. hmmm......

Oh well, it's a shame. And on multiple levels. 1) I feel stupid for telling all my friends and family to come play, along with all the others for FP. 2) That takes football skills and knowledge and makes it less important than how much you spend. 3) Now i won't spend anything and definitely not refer anyone.

That explains the eerie silence here. Even free for all is dead.

I guess I'll use my 2 free players, make 1 or 2 others and burn up whatever FP i have and say goodbye to GLB.
