Just in case I can get a quicker response here than team thread...

I haven't really don't much with AEQ the past few seasons, as I haven't really made any dots to go to an age that matters..

So I rolled pieces for my dots: for a OL I got %5 hold block, which I know is good....Since that is the only thing for this piece, when I buy it am I able to add the +3 attribute bonus to it or do I have to roll a piece that has that and the % as well?

Also, does a hold block % fire on ST's?

That's a great piece for OL.

You can upgrade that piece to +3 skill (usually strength for OL) for the cost of 50 BT's by clicking on the Enhance arrow (green arrow pointing up) located on the right of the title of the AEq (eg Superior Red Gloves). Once you have clicked the green arrow, selected the attribute and the amount you want (+1/2/3) and then press Purchase at the bottom right of the window.

Then all you have to do is upgrade your equipment.

Yes, that is a great piece, if you don't have to move it once you buy it the pc of eq will only cost you 369 bt's if I am right on thinking a 5% hold block pc only costs 19 bt's in the store.
To build it out right it would cost 425 sp's so you just saved 57 bt's

All of the above and yes... you want at LEAST two 5% hold block pieces for an O-lineman. 3 is great but 2 is ok as long as you dedicate your CEQ to Hold Block entirely to make the 3rd piece. Also, if you are rolling for your AEQ, a 5% only piece such as you got is great but don't throw away a +3 to an important skill (preferably your primary) that doesn't have the 5% additional on it. You can always add on the 5% you want and you save a bundle in overall cost that way. Numbers below;

Costs 75 BT's to add on a 5% bonus (BTW, 75 BT's is the most expensive cost there is when adding on or building a piece.)

Costs 50 BT's to add on a +3 to any skill.

Also, lastly, if you are able to roll for 3 quality pieces, I advise building the last one because it is REALLY hard to roll... not only a quality piece... but also only the piece you need. Example; you have 4 different pieces of EQ to get...Shirt, Shoes, Visor, Gloves. When you fist start out rolling any piece works. Once you get a piece, now only 3 work... then two... then only one. Yes, you can 'swap a piece' but that costs BT's (15, I think). So I've found it to be much more cost effective to roll for three and build the last one.
Hope this helps ya.
