No, you're right UNLESS (and only unless) he has some super-creative build idea that involves attributes that are ALREADY ready and set at a lower level than usual BECAUSE the build requires an exorbitant amount of SPs be allocated to SAs for the remainder of the build.

Z'actly. We're currently discussing using one piece of AEQ to get a certain SA so we DON'T have to use valuable SP's on it instead.

It's viable for certain positions like WR. QB you want to 3x stack PQ% at a minimum.

Well I know for me I wanted my AEQ in other things than SAs and I don't really do flex, so I invested early. I guess it depends on if the person wants to buy flex.

Um... I don't think Sp's (or SA's or AEQ) costs flex though. Were you meaning something else?

The flex you spend for the special EQ is what I was referring to.
And the AEQ thing was, I want different bonuses instead of SAs.

Then you better get good at survivor for that flex reward to get that Custom Equipment.

Ah, yes... CEQ. Gotcha. You know you can rent that, yes? Still costs flex though. As for going without CEQ, if you build a good enough dot and get 4 pieces of AEQ then you'll have quite a decent dot anyways. You'll be missing +6 to a skill and some bonuses but that's all. Not earth ending stuff but it is what it is. If I was to do the 'rent route', I'd wait until dot was in Plateau before renting. No sense in wasting money at the lower levels for CEQ when you'll just have to do it every season (end up spending more flex than if you've bought it outright.) Just a thought.
