So, I was adjusting tactics on my QB and WR and was thinking..man skill dots are boring for tactic options..Then I started thinking about additional options that could play in to create difference amongst builds, maybe some more creativity and options and translate more like RL football.
Example: There are some WR's in the world who drop very very few footballs and are almost always fundamentally sound catchers (using two hands, watching the ball in and not letting it hit you in the chest) like a Wes Welker type or Edelman. Then there are some who always seem to make these miraculous catches (1 handed, 2 fingers and a thumb, etc) like Randy Moss used to or Beckham Jr. does.
So, what about adding a slider that has dots making catches like that..So if you are more toward the fundamental side you will still drop balls, but far less of the easier ones and more so the difficult or bad throw ones. And if you go the other direction you are more likely to catch those bad balls, but will drop more of the sure things (nothing crazy, but more). These could play more into some of the SA's and VA's that are out there.
Same thing for RB's
EX: Barry Sanders used to spin the shit out of defenders and break lose for the big gainer, L. Blounte will run your ass over if you don't move and pick up big yards... AP will juke your ass out your shoes if you don't make a move quick. Since we have SA's and VA's that work for these. Could we do sliders that would adjust for these types... So, if you want a dot that spins more than lowers the shoulder or jukes then you can and play that into your SA's/VA's.. or if you want to do juke moves more often you can...etc?
Thoughts....Dumb? Kind of cool? Cool but probably to complex to happen?
