fwiw, I checked Washington's schedule thinking Peterson had worked a deal with Bama. Saban would have taken the UDub HC job had Don James asked him to...true fact. Too bad the Dawgfather didn't haha. Pinkel, Saban and others are from the James tree.

Actually it was when he was leaving the Dolphins and might is not part of the equation. Bottom line is that of course he didn't and the rest is history.

Don't feel bad King, at least Washington has a head start on irrelevancy over Nebraska. I miss the good times as well, but it is officially over for us too.

I feel bad for Wisconsin. Lost BB and get stuck with frickin Barry Alvarez. That guy is a coaches nightmare.

I think both will be back, but time will tell. Funny that both programs can have 9 win seasons and that is considered irrelevant. Gives you an idea of how relevant each has been historically speaking. Multiple Natl Titles etc
