I was out of town for work and completely forgot about the end of season boosts for my 2 rookies.

I have been playing since season 2 and NEVER missed a boost, until this one...

My question is, end game can they (2 of them) still hit 79? What did I screw up/what disadvantage will they have end game for missing the 3 boosts at the end of the rookie season?

I don't care about how they will be disadvantaged in the next couple seasons.

Is it just a couple missed VAs due to hitting 25 later?

youll miss some VAs and always be outleveled but youll hit 79 at end build.

idk what it does to your build tbh. ive always boosted to 4 so someone else can chime in.

You will still be able to boost both of them to L79 once they hit d280. If you don't mind being under levelled as they age and having a few less VAs, missing 1st season boosts makes no difference.

It's not first season boosts (lvl 1 to 4) it is rookie season boosts, from 16-19.

This. And since you're not at VA level, I still think you'll miss on some VA points but nothing dot killing bad. But you've missed your only miss. Miss again and you're toast.
For what it's worth, unless you built those dots for a team as you promised and they NEED those dots all the way through, I would recycle if they're just pet projects of yours. Missing this early = minimal investment in time and effort. Missing boosts level 40 and above, it's harder to bring myself to recycle since I believe I can still save them and all the work I've already done.

You'll be underleveled until you get to level 73, then you can boost up to 6 times to make it to level 79. I know, I've done it before

It'll give you extra training before activating the ALGs for those levels, so in theory it would make your dot better in some cases, albeit with a little less VP.

You could always retire and start over next season. If you do, your dots will be able to play in the WL starting in April of 2016.

There is nothing wrong with a "One & Done" player.

You can boost now, & contribute on a somewhat even keel. If your team makes the playoffs, you lose nothing by taking a reduced role to your day 32 boosting teammates.

Otherwise:
You get to lvl-15 at the same time as your teammates. You end the season @ lvl-15 or 16.
You boost in S46 on day-0, putting you on pace with your teammates & reaching lvl-25 in the middle of the season.
You wait until lvl-32 to boost in S47.
Your boost in S48 would end up being at the end of the season, which may actually put you only 2 levels below the average for a player.

Just follow the experience table from the WIKI, using it as an almanac for your boosting. You should still be competitive with a focused-build discipline.
