For example. My team have 4 WRs.
WR1 is the best possession receiver.
WR2 is the best speedster.
WR3 is the worst posession receiver.
WR4 is the worst speedster.
So for 3-rd and 2 I want to use WR1 and WR3.
But for 3-rd and 15 I want to use WR2 and WR4.
How I can do it?

Use custom progressions on your pass plays.

And keep in mind, you can put the same receiver in multiple progression slots. Back when I was OC'ing teams that actually passed, I got good results sometimes from setting up progressions that went something like WR3-WR3-WR1-WR1-HB. It would force the QB to stay locked in on WR3 for longer to give him more of a chance to get himself open.

You can also do something like WR3-WR1-WR3-WR1-HB to make your QB look back and forth between two targets, or to take advantage of a particular route with multiple "sweet spots" where you think your man could get open.

Just keep in mind, your QB is probably going to throw to someone in the first two or maybe first three progressions slots.

WR3 should be your best possession WR with Slot Machine VA (assuming possession WR archetype)

I would prefer 5 awesome built WR and let it fly

2 reddogrw you have not understood me.
I want to play a short pass.
I do not need many yards, but I want to decrease the risk of incomplete.
As result I want to use possession receivers.
Otherwise. I need may yards, and I am ready for risk.
As result I want to use speedsters.

2 Novus Thank You!
So, if I set in Playcalling AI
I formation play.
And
Select Pass Play Checkdown Order as WR1-WR3-TE-WR1-HB
Can I be sure that WR1 and WR3 will be on the field?
I have seen
TE Depth Chart - RB Depth Chart - FB Depth Chart - QB Depth Chart - BTE Depth Chart
For single play.

But not the WR Depth Chart
For single play.

You are correct, dark wing, the WR "custom depth chart" doesn't work the same way that the ones do for TE, RB, FB, QB, and BTE.

The WR custom depth chart spots always correspond to the number of a WR in a play. So, Big I formation would only have a WR1 in it. If you have one WR in the WR1 depth chart spot, he will ALWAYS be in that spot, nothing you can do about it.

In all the formations that have 2 WRs on the field, they will be the WR1 and WR2, respectively, and so forth.

What you CAN do is just to mix putting WRs in the generic WR depth chart slot, and then leave one or more (or all) of the WR1 to WR5 slots empty. Then, if you have a possession WR that you want to put special routes in as a WR3 (for plays that feature at least 3 WRs, remember, so you have to look at the formation), you could put that WR in as the only dot in the WR3 custom slot, and put all your speedy WRs in the WR slot, where they will be pulled from as needed, based on your energy settings.

Hope that made things less clear for you.

One thing I don't know for sure is what order things are pulled in. For example, if you had a WR in the WR3 slot but also in the generic WR slot, and you ran a play with 4 WRs in it, could your WR3 dot get pulled first into one of the other slots, based on energy settings, and then one of your other WRs would be pulled in to the WR3 slot since it would now be empty? Or does the pulling start by looking at the WR1-5 slots? And, if so, does it go 1-5, or 5-1, or some sort of random unpredictable way?

or set custom wr slots AND energy BASED on play call. Much more effective if you know stamina rate v block rte and yardage distance v stamina burn. IE WR 3 solo on only wr3 plays burns faster on slants than hooks

Certainly not impossible, but it does seem much easier to get the ball to TEs and scat backs.

There are ways, but they require a bit of work. And your playbook options will be slightly limited.

First, I'll edit your OP to make this less confusing.

WR C is the worst posession receiver.
WR D is the worst speedster.

But for 3-rd and 15 I want to use WR B and WR D.
How I can do it?

- Clear your WR depth chart. You'll only use the numbered WR slots (1 through 5), or this won't work.
- Put both WR B and WR D (speed) in WR2 slot and WR4 slot.
- Put both WR A abd WR C (poss.) in WR1 slot and WR3 slot.
- Put whatever you like in WR5 slot, if you use 5WR plays (most OCs don't use them).
- (They don't have to be these exact slots, you can change them, but different type of WRs can never be in a same slot.)

With this setup, when you call a 2WR play, a speedster will be the strong side WR (WR2), and a possession will be the weak side WR (WR1).
With 3WR sets, you'll have two poss. WRs on the left side (WR1, WR3), and one speed WR on the right (WR2).
With 4WR set, you'll have two poss. WRs on the left side(WR1, WR3), and two speed WRs on the right (WR2, WR4).

Setup your OAI with down/distance based packages, and target the desired type of WR slot for each play.

It was a half of solution, but it is something!
