dont have the time this week to put together a low level AI and i was wondering if i could borrow someone else's. i copied it from the "team tactics" option but now all the plays have the red (!), any way to get rid of em without having to copy his plays since that defeats the whole purpose of borrowing an AI?

who evers AI it is has to authorize the team to use his plays or packages.
On his home page he needs to click tactics and then go to the team sharing tab.
As long as whoever it is happens to be a GM he can allow a team to access his plays... at least I think that will solve ur problem, not 100% though as it's been a while since I had to add access.

it still has the red (!) even on his own team. (it doesnt for him but does for me). when i put it in team AI, it goes away, tried on another team i DC and it didnt. maybe he has to give permission to the team and then i have to move it to team AI?

Is this not a question of packages? If you don't have the required packages that the AI uses, you'll get red exlcamation marks. You have to go through the AI and point it to the packages in your Team AI (presuming you are on the same team as the AI's creator) or My AI. Yes, this means changing all of the packages.

Could it be a playbook thing?

My experience of copying AIs (to My AI) has needed me to reload the AI with plays or packages that I point the AI to, even when I'm on the same team.

You're just gonna have to comb through the AI, figure out what's missing, and plug it in. Give yourself 30 minutes and bang it out. It's probably easier to do that than it is to spend hours and hours trying to figure out why you're getting the red (!) marks.

If you open the AI there will be a red exclamation beside the thing that isn't set up properly. That said, you should never ever take someone's AI or plays without asking. It's unbelievable that GLB even allows that.

it isnt without asking lol. i much prefer playing around with my own DAI but i dont have the time to setup a rookie one currently. he's a good buddy of mine and of course i asked permission first. how else would i know that everything is working fine on his end?

Yep. Get him a GM spot on the team and ask him to allow access to his tactics. Otherwise you'll have to copy his plays and packages.

thanks for all the responses everyone. just made a very simplistic DAI since we ran into some other concerns.
