Most WRs do best at slot receiver because of the matchups.

imo the left side of the offense is very depleted. thats where mostly the #2 WR are at

I don't have a simple answer, but we have 5 WRs and all of them get thrown to, but it does seem the #2 gets less looks.

Here's the receptions for the season so far for our #1-5 WRs: 58-36-50-26-24

From game to game it can vary quite a bit who ends up with the most catches.

However the #2 also has more TDs than anyone by several, so it seems like he's getting more red zone looks.

Of course one way is to mix up your depth chart see if that affects it.

Otherwise, the key is just to get open, which means finding the right build.

Well the problem is , It's not really all that easy to find the right build

My guy's the #2 WR. 2nd in league in TD. On pace for 1000+ yds. On a team where the #1 WR will also have 1000+ yds.

Has played one game as #1 WR and one game as slot receiver, but those did not skew the stats. I find that getting separation is key for my guy getting receptions. On most plays I look at, the first WR to get open is the one thrown to. If you can get separation before the other guys, you'll get the ball.

u play in africa, shut your mouth, ur 1000 yds are worth 300 in any other

Seems like a nice guy, don't think you gotta tell him to shut his mouth. He plays against whoever the competition is, he cant control that.

Yes, my worst player, my level 13 center, is a backup lineman on the team I GM in Africa. My WR, on the other hand, plays in Western Europe AAA. A for effort though.

Thanks for the backup, Alex. Haha.

My WR played in spot 2 and didn't get yards or receptions... only got thrown to like 3 times a game... no drops..... but I moved him to #3 and now he leads the team in yards and touchdowns

At the moment it's very hard to be the 2nd string , I'm also 2nd string right now .

I think the thing is that most teams of course have their best WR at 1st string , and then of course QBs tend to throw to their best guy .

And the thing with the slot receiver is that he gets way better matchups and will therefore be more open as well .

But I have no doubt that this will all be balanced out later on , or at least I hope so if I'm gonna continue being 2nd string for my team

Maybe if the QB has less vision he'll throw less to the #2? Makes sense that the QB is facing the right side and low vision makes his 'visible' arc smaller.

There are also many teams who neglect having a solid nickel corner. That may not be the only factor though.

Our slot receiver is torching our #2 in stats, and is really close to topping our #1.

The great part is that he is slower and less agile than both of them. Most of their other stats are similar.

Well before I got 2nd string I was also the slot , and I was like way better than the 2nd string guy , eventhough he had a couple levels on me .

I hope (and think so) that this will soon be balanced out and the 2nd string will get a little more important
