I have tried.

Seems to me that all too often on outside rushes he trips to the run and rushes right at the HB long before he gets to the zone, and runs right into the OL or a TE or FB etc. Or he gets blocked enroute which has the same effect.

basically GLB is poorly made and they needed to add a slop fix for when a zone LB starts covering a WR

nothing else to say

consider that you never saw #56 Taylor trying to cover #80 Rice ... especially weak trying to push a LB out too wide ... he (she) is a LINE backer ... not a CORNER backer

There are some that think the LB cover penalty may have "accidentally" been applied to all LB coverage as well, not just against WRs. I'm not 100% on that myself but no mattter how well built a cLB is, anecdotally I find them to be marginal at best against a good rTE.

it's flat across the board to make up for the fact that LBs get +.5 ALGs and WRs/TEs get +.4

LBs got artificially adjusted until the coverage allowed the reception numbers that looked good to Bort.

lol ... sometimes ya just wanna ... ... the things a DC will do ....

.... otherwise , for GLB's 5 WR SG , you can cover the #5 WR with an LO or MLB COV LB on a very minimal basis ....

and ... doubling any WR with a properly built LB is A OK , OAK ... (GG BTW)
