Basically U will want to have 4-way multi training, which means unlock 3 attributs + 1 in the free training slot. You will also want to enhance these attribs, I prefer 3 or 5 stars for my more important attribs but im not gonna get into anything too complex here. 3 stars is a good failsafe measure to enhance your major attribs. NExt u will likely want to shop for gear at some point and purchase as well, age 160-200 is usually when u need to stop multi training and go light training,shoping/building also cost BT's. Once u buy gear it cost's 30 BT's per enhance up to 10 enhace (300 total). Download a virtual player builder is your best bet if your new

Agree with this I do. Also, you'll want to (if this is your first dot) continue training your primary skill on intense level for quite some time before switching over to multi-training. A good begining rule of thumb is don't switch until you have enough BT's to purchase all 3 slots AND enhance your primary to 3 stars. Some go even further... some set goals (like at what number does a skill need to be before switching)... and many use the VPB to guide them.

To use it correctly, you kinda need to know a little about correct building anyways. Building a dot goes against what you might consider "common sense". Instead of spreading out your SP's when putting them into skills, you really need to put your SP's into nothing but the #1 skill of your dot... at first. Here's a kinda "quick build guide"
You'll most likely desire to build your dot during the "off season" before the start of a new season. At the start of you dot's creation.... in the dot creation screen... after creating the dot (name and position and archetype) you'll have some SP's you must spend.
#1.) You'll have 20+ SP's to spend. Put everything you can into the #1 skill... and the rest into the #2 skill. You'll then be given 15 more SP's to put into your dot. Do not use them. Instead, save them for a little later.
#2.) After you leave the dot creation screen (hit "submit"), you'll have some TP's (training points) to use for training your dot. And you'll also have some BT's (12) to spend as well. Spend these 1st. Use them to enhance your primary (#1) skill one time (costs 6 BT's.).
#3.) Now go to "training" and "light train" your primary skill 1 time. This should give you 6 more BT's.
#4.) Return to the BT page and enhance your primary skill again (costs 12 BT's now).
#5.) Now intense train your primary skill until you either reach the end of the season (day 48 or 49) or until you have 18 BT's to spend. If you get 18 BT's before end of season, enhance your primary one last time (to 3 stars or +30% bonus to training).
#6.) Before next season starts, boost your dot x3. Now spend SP's only on primary skill until it reaches next CAP (the point where the cost to train the skill increases by 1 SP or more). If you have enough SP's left to reach your next CAP on your primary, do so. If not, continue to intense train until you DO have enough. Repeat this process until you have 36 BT's to open up multi training (4 slots... 3 purchased and one "open") AND have at least 6 more to enhance your secondary 1 star. Personally, I prefer to train at intense until I have 144 BT's saved or until intense training my primary drops to below 10-20%. Whichever comes first. Then I switch to multi-training and enhance my other primary skills (my #2, #3, and #4 skills) to 3 stars.
Sometimes you'll have to adjust a little... like not fully enhancing a skill because you don't have enough BT's yet... but this should get you started fairly correctly. There's other info out there like JDbolick's guide and plenty more... and other ideas on building but this is just a basic path to use with your VPB to help you out. Another good thing to do is to find someone like JDbolick, Sellars, or anyone else that would walk you through for a while... mentor if you please... until you have the basics figured out. Good luck friend.
