in the element that it was new sure. but there is nothing about glb1 outside of dots that made it anything more entertaining.

there wasnt ai's. the casual and depth charts werent remotely as advanced. there were very few plays. nostalgia....

graphics aside. glb2 has already surpassed the level glb1 was at in s2. so i dont believe that part of your message at this point.

i agree s2 was no where near the product we have here today, however it does seem to me that through the growing pains of GLB it was more fun . I don't like the new player creation system, have know idea WTF with the homepage and still dont really know whats going on with the player i created there on a day to day basis. Through all the flaws/fixes and messes we have had here , i dont see how that was the evolution of the idea. Just an opinion.

no one knows what they're doing. I am watching a bunch of replays to see what my guys need to improve on.

GLB2 is pretty garish, though. I don't know who thought that was a good design.

I agree....the interface is too cartoony (or something) and things arent sized right for navigating & viewing.

Like the player list below the replays. You only see about half the players (so FU if you want to glance down to see who the SS is). Same thing with other screens in the game.

Not trying to bash it (though I know by not liking it so far I basically am) but I've spent a few minutes each of the past few days trying to find something interesting to do over there. I havent been able to find it yet.

Think people had an idea of what was going on in S2? Speed speed speed...strength strength strength. That was pretty much the thought process. I don't really see much difference in how GLB2 is laid out and how GLB1 was back at that point aside from watchablity on a consistent basis. Not sure what you mean with the homepage though.

GLB1 had a ton of headaches along the way. The forums were filled with people raving of flaws with just about everything as far as the game was concerned.

Ya the viewing part isn't something I can dig either. I used to think it was just the not dots out there but everything about it seems hard to handle.

by homepage i mean the page you open to. can't find a f'ing thing, don't like it, its an opinion. as for the flaws yea, there were lots and yea people bitched , but that's what people do. BUT, i could find what i was looking for cause it was right there in front of me when it opened after i logged in. i could look at depth charts, rosters made sense. like i said opinion. and in mine , i would not spend 1 penny of real money on GLB2 . Now i didn't spend millions or even thousand on this version, but between me and my pops(i'm 44 pops is 67 and has quit playing anything) and all the people i got to play the game ( without referral bonus's cause of timing or whatever (not complaining)) and got them to buy flex to "help the team" etc. I would not even recommend GLB2 to anyone, probably tell them to "don't bother its awful" . Never felt that way about this one, even all the years it was beta and broken. I reiterate, its my opinion.

Ive been here under 2 years so cant compare 1 (as was) to 2 (as is) so missed the first seasons of struggle....My point really is that I feel alot of users feel a bit hard done by....The "finished" 1 could have been upgraded if and where necessary because it is the depth (and choice) of play that sets it apart - and that probably came from learning from mistakes and making technical geeky improvements over the first years - to me it like getting used to eating at the Ritz and then having to make do with a MacDonalds (no offense Ronald)

Wait, what did GLB1 improve in graphic side from s2 to now?
It's always dot ball, isn't it?
I know they add some icon but it's still dotball.
And seriously, I think dotball is better compare to GLB2.

Yes, replay screen have big prpblem.
Don't know who design that but it's really bad.
You need to scroll down to check who is on the field?
Replay don't auto rewind? Player name don't show when your cursor on it between play?
That's all good part of GLB1, why remove it?

You're right about scrolling down, but if you click the gear symbol next to the toggle button for sound you can change your replay settings to auto-loop, auto-advance to the next play, etc. Also, in between play you can mouse over to show your player's name.

Auto loop should be default.
And when play is still going, player name won't show when my cursor is on it.
I need to stop playing to see who the player is.

The new player building is kind of fun so far.
But I agree that doing another football sim already was dumb.

Should have rolled out a different game first at least, then maybe another football one down the line.
