If that WL team was looking for 55 dots then they must have been sitting empty too come movement day. They managed to stay up. Or does just having 1-2 dot's on the roster make the script skip the team and only searches for 0.

Add an option to the team profile page next to/below Region preference....
Promotion Preference:
1.World League Now or Bust - move team to highest level possible ASAP
2.Competing - promote to next level only
3.Cruising - keep at same level
4.Reloading - move down 1 level
5.Ragequitting -
6. ...?
Add a paragraph above the option detailing/linking to info on the circumstances that void/affect the Promotion Preference.(roster size/age/inactivity/etc.)
Similar to the team renewal banner, splash something on all team owner screens that requires us to update the info each season at the appropriate time... maybe only if it has not been set recently....?
Use the data to more intelligently organize leagues.
Before last season I told support I was taking a break after a weak RegPro playoff run. We were put in Elite......

a lot of this could be solved by doing the sort/league assignments around Day -8 instead of around Day 42
or by having a later second sort that weeds out the guts and half-filled teams

problem for that is people aren't in the right leagues and can't sign players of certain ages then.
But ya a second sort would probably work a lot better than it currently does.
