5 seasons until plateau, and I think with full boosts and career extensions you'll get 5 seasons at plateau. I'm fairly sure they plan on having the seasons take the same length of time in the real world (note that beta was greatly accelerated for testing purposes).

Rough and loose math...let's start with 50k flex.

GLB1:
Average player cost is let's say 6500.
First gen = 50,000 / 6500 = 7.7 players
Second gen = 7.7 * .7 = 5.39 players
Third gen = 5.39 * .7 = 3.77 players
Fourth gen = 3.77 * .7 = 2.64
Fifth gen = 2.64 * .7 = 1.84
Sixth gen = 1.84 * .7 = 1.29

Around 22 players

GLB2:
Average cost is about 3000
First gen = 50,000 / 2500 = 16.67 players
Second gen = 16.67 * .3 = 5 players
Third gen = 5 * .3 = 1.5 players

Around 23 players

Same number of players over a shorter time, yes you "burn through it faster", but you get about the same number of players out of it.

GLB -- Build 10 players (100 flex position) cost is 42,000...Get 28,000 back

Can build another 6.6 players with that amount (100 flex position)

GLB2 - Build 10 players (50 flex position) cost is 23,000 .. Get 6,900 back

Can build 3 players with that amount (50 flex position)

GLB - Build 10 players (300 flex position) cost is 104,000... Get back 72,300

Can build another another 6.9 players with that amount (300 flex position)

GLB2 - Build 10 players (150 flex position) cost is 30,000 .. Get back 9,000

Can build another 3 players with that amount (150 flex position)

Why would I want to waste my flex on GLB2? I get more bang for my buck on GLB hands down.

Why are you using unlike values in comparisons?

30k for 13 players is way better than 104k for 17 players

look at your second example... you spend 104,000 flex and get 72,300 flex back. You "spent" 31,700" flex because that's how much you lost out (wasn't returned)

Even before retirement you won't spend 30,000 for the same number of players in GLB2... and you get 9,000 back. You "save" 11,700 flex with GLB2

So 117,200 cost for a 43 man team for ten seasons?

That is going with this roster

QB
HBx2
LBx5

WRx5
TEx3
FBx2
CBx5
FSx2
SSx2
DEx3

OTx3
Gx3
Cx2
DTx3
K

A cost analysis for you guys that want the math done for you. These dots should have the same length of life in real life days as far as I know. Note, these numbers assume a full career with full boosts

150 flex GLB2 players (QB / HB / LB) = 150 creation + 1500 SP boosts + 600 career extension + 750 AP boosts = 3000 total cost (900 returned, thus 2100 complete cost)

vs

300 flex GLB1 players (QB / HB / WR) = 300 creation + 9000 boosts + 900 CEQ + 200 Additional CEQ = 10400 total cost (7230 returned, thus 3170 complete cost)

100 flex GLB2 players (WR / TE / FB / CB / FS / SS / DE) = 100 creation + 1200 SP boosts + 600 career extension + 750 AP boosts = 2650 total cost (795 returned, thus 1855 complete cost)

vs

200 flex GLB1 players = 200 creation + 6000 boosts + 900 CEQ + 200 Additional CEQ = 7300 total cost (5030 returned, thus 2370 complete cost)

50 flex GLB2 players (O-line / DT / K / P) = 50 creation + 900 SP boosts + 600 career extension + 750 AP boosts = 2300 total cost (690 returned, thus 1610 complete cost)

vs

100 flex GLB1 players = 100 creation + 3000 boosts + 900 CEQ + 200 Additional CEQ = 4200 total cost (2830 returned, thus 1370 complete cost)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR version

Top tier players will cost 1070 LESS in GLB2 (after retirement) and will tie up 7400 LESS in GLB2 prior to retirement

Mid tier players will cost 515 LESS in GLB2 (after retirement) and will tie up 4650 LESS in GLB2 prior to retirement

Lower tier players will cost 240 MORE in GLB2 (after retirement), but will tie up 1900 LESS in GLB prior to retirement

awesome good to know

I sincerely hope they restrict team ownership, so you don't have guys playing on cpu teams, when there are human owned teams with half a roster.
