Does money on contracts have any value when play this game or is it just face value?

Money gives you a morale boost

Money used to have a lot of value but there were a lot of loopholes and stuff with it so GLB condensed its meaning down to morale boosts. To players themselves it means virtually nothing. To an owner of a team or the coordinators of the team it means a little bit but in the overall scheme it is not something to worry about as a player.
