I'm trying to build a "true burner" WR. He should end 170+ speed before VAs.

I'm going to do 2x Catch pieces and was thinking of using a 3rd AEQ/CEQ to invest into 1 or possibly 2 of the SAs mentioned in the title.

I'm wondering if people can shed light on which of those SAs would be the most beneficial while running (ideally) streaks/slants etc. I put Catch in Stride as his Bonus SA thinking it could help him catch without losing much of his speed. Does that SA work? Adding that to the other 3, which 1 or 2 would be the best investment/be the most useful?

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4475476

ETA: I meant to mention that I'm looking for which SA will fire most often during his route. Not necessarily once he has the ball.

Catch Fake/Juke, then Head Fake, by a long shot. Catch in Stride is a bad investment.

Westwind(I think is his name?) done some testing on catch in stride, but wasn't for burners . He showed some data that made it look not so bad. Can't remember what PF that we posted in, but was pretty recent.

Westwind? Owns Phoenix Rising? In prep comp #2, send him a PM Dustin, if nothing else he could probably direct u to the PF that data was posted in.

Beyond that I agree with donk3yMan , CF/Juke before Head Fake...and a QB invested in pump fake

^^^

Catch Fake and Juke are about equal in how often they show up in replays

This, imo.

ETA: Actually doesn't really matter since you should go for the 2. Also I was thinking, if you have those 2 SAs, wouldn't be better to ignore Head Fake and Catch in Stride and go for something else like First Step and Change Direction?

Every one of my speedster WRs will have max FS, Juke, and CF. Past that I am trying to get some points in HF. Change direction is not as important for a WR as it is for a CB. I wouldn't do much more than you need to there unless you have a real low agility guy.

The thing about Head Fake in this scenario is that a receiver with max Juke/CF should have a good deal of fake % EQ. Once all of that + Quick Feet are in the mix, hard to ignore HF if you can muster up the SPs

no

you want:

Juke (probably with AE as it is at the end of the tree)
Catch Fake - build up with SP
2 Catch Ball % pieces
1 Fake (use Bonus CE)

8+ in both Juke and Catch Fake

any points in HF, FS and QC is fine but the above is a must

Thanks for the input all, I appreciate it. I will be going closer to what reddog posted above. My plan is as follows. (But keep in mind this isn't a typical speedster. I will be pushing speed much higher and as a result will be lower in other areas. the goal is to burn past CBs and catch the deep ball)

I will be shooting for 10 in FS and CD, as well as 10 in Juke (one piece of AEQ here). This will get me 2-3 in Head Fake and Spin since I'll need to put a point or 2 into Juke. I may settle with 7 iun Juke (all from EQ) if I can't use the SPs.

I then plan to get 6+ in catch fake depending how many SPs I've got left.
AEQ setup is

Catch % x2
Juke
CEQ = Fake %

what is your natural goal end build for speed?

He should be ending at 112 I think. which isn't as high as I wanted it. I'm going to run him through the VPB right now and get an update.
