When mods sticky or unsticky a thread they should post in it so that people know which thread needs to be clicked on to clear the tag.

It was the moved thread. I have begged that Bort either add a "mark all read" function or set it so that any moved thread is automatically flagged as read. Clicking on the moved thread doesn't help.
